An insight into the latest developments at the training base of La Liga giants Real Madrid has on Sunday been forthcoming online.

This, of course, comes amid ongoing preparations for a return to action this coming week.

Fresh off booking their spot in the knockout rounds of the Club World Cup, Real Madrid are primed to lock horns with Italian heavyweights Juventus in the early hours of Wednesday.

Xabi Alonso has long been aware that he will be without the club’s long-term absentees for the fixture, a number of whom have played no part at the Club World Cup.

And also set to miss out against Juve, it has today been reiterated, are both David Alaba and Endrick.

As revealed by Blancos insider Mario Cortegana of the Athletic, neither defender Alaba or frontman Endrick played any part in team training on Sunday.

The former is fresh off an injury setback this week, whilst the latter is still in recovery from a hamstring issue.

The news regarding Kylian Mbappé, though, is of an altogether more encouraging nature.

Following a recent bout of illness, the Frenchman was given the green light to take full part in group training with Xabi Alonso’s squad today.
