Liverpool will look to head into the international break as Premier League leaders by beating Aston Villa at Anfield tomorrow, and manager Arne Slot and his men have a tough test on their hands.
The visitors have only lost twice in the league this season and are capable of giving the Reds a run for their money on Saturday night.
Liverpool will have to be on top of their game if they want to pick up all three points at the expense of Villa, but Slot could look to name a surprise player on the bench after he was spotted in training today.
16-year-old forward Rio Ngumoha joined the first-team to prepare for the game tomorrow, but it remains to be seen if he will be included in the matchday squad.
The highly-rated attacker joined the Reds under-18s from Chelsea during the last summer transfer window, snubbing a scholarship offered by the Blues to switch to the Merseyside club.
The offer of a guaranteed pathway to the first-team played a key role in his decision to join Liverpool, and he has impressed Slot enough to earn a chance to train with the big boys.
Ngumoha has been impressing for the youth teams, bagging an assist when the under-19s secured a 4-1 victory over their Bayer Leverkusen counterparts in the UEFA Youth League on Tuesday.
The teenage sensation played for Chelsea at under-21 and under-18 levels, and he was tipped to be knocking on the door of the Liverpool first-team sooner rather than later when he moved.
It appears he is already doing so and could make his debut this season if he keeps impressing at youth level.
