Following Wednesday night’s defeat to Newcastle United, the Arsenal senior squad have headed to Dubai for a mid-season warm weather training camp.
The Gunners don’t have another game until February 15th, so Mikel Arteta’s players have an informal winter break until then.
Injured Arsenal stars Ben White and Bukayo Saka have both been pictured making the trip, with White even joining training sessions on Friday. Saka is seemingly a way off team training, but he made the trip anyway.
Gabriel Martinelli has also travelled amid concern about a potential hamstring injury. The player reportedly had scans on Thursday, and he wasn’t seen in training pictures in Dubai the following day.

The only two senior absentees from the squad are Gabriel Jesus and Takehiro Tomiyasu. It’s certainly no shock that Jesus hasn’t travelled, as he’ll be out of action for much of the rest of 2025. But it’s a shame that Tomiyasu still isn’t fit to join the team.
To make up the numbers and provide first-team training opportunities, nine Arsenal academy players have travelled, including returning loanees Charles Sagoe Jr. and Jack Henry-Francis.
15-year-old Max Dowman is also involved, along with Jack Porter, Tommy Setford, Josh Nichols, Nathan Butler-Oyedeji, Ismeal Kabia, and Michal Rosiak. It’s encouraging to see Nichols back involved after his recent injury.
