Manchester United are closely monitoring Noah Sadiki as part of their long-term midfield planning, but Sunderland have made it clear they are unwilling to consider a sale following the player’s exceptional start to life on Wearside.
Sadiki has quickly become one of the most impressive young midfielders in the Championship since arriving last summer. His blend of physicality, composure and tactical discipline has elevated his status across recruitment departments, though Sunderland remain calm about growing external attention.

Sources indicate Manchester United have followed Sadiki’s progress for several years, including during his time prior to moving to England. Old Trafford officials are understood to have maintained detailed scouting reports and continue to assess his development closely.
United expect significant midfield turnover in 2026. There is no certainty that Casemiro, Manuel Ugarte, Kobbie Mainoo or Bruno Fernandes will all remain beyond next summer, prompting internal discussions around succession planning and depth.
Sadiki fits the type of profile United are analysing: young, adaptable, technically secure and already tested in the demands of English football. At this stage, interest is described as monitoring rather than active pursuit, with United content to track his trajectory before making any firm decisions.
Sunderland’s position is clear. The club see Sadiki as a foundational player in their ongoing project and have no intention of facilitating an exit in the near term.
Having secured the midfielder from Union SG in a £17.5million deal, Sunderland moved decisively when several Premier League clubs hesitated. That early belief has only strengthened internally as Sadiki has exceeded expectations in both consistency and influence.
Club sources speak highly of his partnership work in midfield, noting his ability to dominate games well beyond his years. There is also recognition of his attitude, professionalism and willingness to develop within the structure provided.
Just as importantly, Sadiki is understood to be settled in the North East. Those close to the player insist he values the opportunity Sunderland gave him and feels no urgency to move elsewhere.
Manchester United are not alone in tracking Sadiki. Tottenham Hotspur continue to assess him, while Chelsea-linked ownership group BlueCo have retained an interest, now with a clearer focus on Stamford Bridge rather than Strasbourg.
Elsewhere, Marseille and RB Leipzig have also monitored his performances, while Crystal Palace, West Ham and Leeds United previously held exploratory talks with his representatives before his move to Sunderland.
Despite that level of attention, no club has been encouraged to believe Sunderland are open to negotiations at this stage.
While Sunderland remain firm, sources acknowledge that elite-level interest may eventually force a conversation. Sadiki’s valuation has risen sharply, with estimates now approaching £50million if his current trajectory continues.
Should an offer arrive that more than doubles Sunderland’s initial investment, the club would face a difficult decision. Even so, any reassessment is viewed as a future scenario rather than an immediate concern.
For now, Sadiki’s focus is firmly on Sunderland’s campaign and his international ambitions with DR Congo, including upcoming World Cup qualification fixtures. Manchester United will continue to observe, but Sunderland’s stance remains unchanged.
