African football will once again take center stage with the 14th edition of the Women's Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON 2026), set to be held in Morocco from March 17 to April 3, 2026.
Banyana Banyana will make their 14th appearance at the Women's AFCON, having previously competed in the 1998, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2018, 2022, and 2024 editions.
Their greatest achievement remains the gold medal in the 2022 tournament, which was also hosted in Morocco.
In the last Women's AFCON, South Africa's head coach Desiree Ellis relied on the following players:
