2026 Women’s Copa do Brasil: draw sets 3rd-round ties

On Friday afternoon (15), the CBF held the draw for the third round of the Women’s Copa do Brasil, defining the 16 matchups and home-field assignments. At this stage, the ties are still single-leg knockout matches. The date set by the CBF for this round is May 27.

The third round is marked by the entry of the 16 clubs from the Brasileirão Feminino A1. In addition, the 16 teams that won in the second round remain in the competition. Highlighting the tournament’s democratic nature, all 32 clubs can face one another.

THE COMPETITION

In its 2026 edition, the Copa do Brasil will have a total of 72 matches, instead of the 64 played last year, with 11 dates on the calendar, three more than in 2025. From the third round onward, all 66 teams from the three divisions of the Brasileirão Feminino and the 27 football federations across the country will have gone through the competition.

Another change for this year is that, from the quarterfinals onward, all ties will be played over two legs.

THE DRAW

The 32 participating clubs were placed into a single pot. The first 16 teams drawn will host the single-leg ties.

RIVALRIES

The highlights of the third round are two major Brazilian football rivalries. The reigning champions, Palmeiras, will face Corinthians. In Rio Grande do Sul, the matchup will be between Internacional and Grêmio.
