The French international and former Real Madrid striker, Karim Benzema, opened up about his future with Ittihad Jeddah.
In a lengthy interview with the Spanish newspaper AS, Benzema stated: "My contract with Ittihad is coming to an end. I can't say yet whether I'll stay or leave."
The striker added: "It depends on many factors. I'll turn 38 next month and I see myself playing for another two years. Physically, I feel good, I work hard and I'm putting in strong performances."
Asked about the European offers he has reportedly received, Benzema explained: "It's true that I have proposals from Europe. I need to analyze everything and choose wisely, seeing where I will feel best, while keeping in mind that I feel good here and that I am appreciated."
He clarified: "We'll see. They're asking certain things of me, and I provide certain things in return. Everything is 50-50, but some points are still up for discussion."
On the subject of potential retirement, the 37-year-old Frenchman stated: "I'm not going to stop playing football or stop fighting in the next six months."
Let's recall that Benzema is under contract with the "Tigers" until the summer of 2026. To date, he has played 71 matches with the club, scoring 43 goals and providing 17 assists, making him one of the standout strikers in the Saudi Pro League.
