FLW takes a look at the five players set to leave West Ham United this summer following relegation
West Ham United's 14-year stay in the Premier League is officially over, as the Hammers will be spending the 2026/27 season back in the Championship, but face a huge summer transfer window before then.
Despite a 3-0 home win over Leeds United on the final day, West Ham have been relegated back to the Championship for the first time since 2011.
They would bounce back up to the top flight the first time of asking that time around, defeating Blackpool in the play-off final 2-1 courtesy of a late Ricardo Vaz Te strike into the roof of the net.
Hammers supporters will be hoping their stay in the second tier is as short as last time, but to ensure they are best prepared for that scenario, a huge summer awaits them.
The likes of Jarrod Bowen, Mateus Fernandes, Crysencio Summerville, and El Hadji Malick Diouf are all bound to attract interest following relegation, and could all be sold on as the club looks to raise funds.
There will be, however, players who are bound to leave for nothing this summer, as FLW takes a look at each player set to leave the London Stadium this summer, with either their contracts expiring or loans coming to an end.

Adama Traore is well aware of the Championship, having made 34 appearances for Middlesbrough in the second tier during the 2017/18 campaign, scoring five and assisting ten.
The Spaniard is probably best-known for his time with Wolverhampton Wanderers in the top flight, making 194 appearances for the Old Gold before joining Fulham in 2023, where he would spend two-and-a-half years ahead of his £2 million move to West Ham in January 2026.
The stocky winger signed on a deal until the end of the season, and played just 115 league minutes under Nuno Espirito Santo as the Hammers were relegated, failing to contribute to a goal or assist.
The club do have the chance to extend his deal for a further year if they wish, but whether they will do so, at this stage, remains to be seen.

Callum Wilson was very close to having his deal in East London terminated as the January window rolled around, having fallen out of favour under boss Nuno and the subsequent arrivals of Taty Castellanos and Pablo Felipe.
However, the Englishman persevered and would force his way into Nuno's plans, scoring seven and assisting one in 32 league appearances by the end of the season and actually earning a new contract.
Though that deal was contingent on the Hammers remaining in the top flight, and following their relegation, the 34-year-old is set to leave the club at the end of next month ahead of becoming a free agent once more.
With 271 Premier League appearances, 95 goals, and 26 assists under his belt for the likes of Bournemouth, Newcastle United, and West Ham, Wilson could yet have an impact in the top flight, though that certainly now won't be at the London Stadium.

Polish shot-stopper Lukasz Fabianski has been with West Ham for eight years, having joined the club from Swansea City in 2018 following the Welsh club's relegation.
Fabianski, 41, would remain the Hammers' first-choice option for five seasons before Alphonse Areola's introduction demoted him to a backup, and then Mads Hermansen's subsequent arrival relegated him to third choice this season.
With 376 Premier League appearances to his name for the likes of Arsenal, Swansea, and West Ham, Fabianski's time at the top level is almost certainly over, and following his contract expiry, where he goes next, at the moment, is unknown.

Axel Disasi has had a tricky time since moving to England back in the summer of 2023, joining Chelsea for around £38 million from Monaco, having starred at Le Rouge et Blanc.
The French defender would be a regular at Stamford Bridge in his first season at the club, but since then, he has spent time on loan with Aston Villa and West Ham, the latter of which he joined in January 2026.
Disasi would go on to make 14 league appearances for the Hammers, and by all accounts, did well on a personal level, but his efforts weren't enough to keep the club from the drop, and his loan switch is not expected to be made a permanent one this summer, as he prepares to return to Chelsea.

You would be forgiven for not knowing this move even took place, with Venezuelan winger Keiber Lamadrid joining West Ham on loan from Colombian side Deportivo La Guaira in the January window.
Lamadrid, 22, failed to make a single league appearance during his six months in East London, with his only appearance coming in a 1-0 away win over Burton Albion in the FA Cup.
It's unlikely his move will be made a permanent one, as Lamadrid prepares to return to South America after a forgetful loan spell in the English capital.
