Our top games to watch this weekend feature massive games in the Premier League’s top-four race and a showdown between two German giants.
Liverpool’s inconsistent campaign saw the Reds lose at Galatasaray in midweek, but their season is going swimmingly when compared to this week’s opponents.
Spurs slumped to a club-record sixth straight loss in all competitions in midweek after conceding five at Atletico Madrid. Just one point above the relegation places, a shock relegation is edging closer to a reality.
This game often provides drama and, with both sides in varying states of flux, the ingredients are there for another epic.

The first silverware of the season is at stake as Chelsea women look to defend their League Cup trophy against Manchester United on Sunday.
Chelsea are off the pace in the WSL and nine points behind Manchester City, as their six-year reign as champions comes under real threat. Greater focus could be placed on the domestic trophies and confidence can be taken from a 2-1 extra-time elimination of Manchester United in the FA Cup recently.
Both goals came from set pieces, an Achilles heel for the Red Devils of late. United, however, sit above Chelsea in the WSL and have made good progress in Europe. It’s all to play for.

Bayern Munich march on towards the Bundesliga title with an 11-point cushion from their nearest challengers. The Bavarians are arguably Europe’s most impressive outfit right now, having destroyed Atalanta 6-1 in Europe in midweek.
Next up is Leverkusen, the only team to dethrone Bayern as champions since 2013. Leverkusen’s 2023-24 title-winning team has been picked apart and Kasper Hjulmand’s side find themselves sixth in the table. A home defeat to the champions-elect would be a big blow to their Champions League hopes.
Kick-off: 2:30pm, Saturday 14th March
Where to watch: The fixture will not be televised in the UK.
A mouth-watering match up at Old Trafford as third meets fourth in the Premier League table. Manchester United and Aston Villa will kick-off the weekend level on points, ahead of a crucial contest for both side’s Champions League ambitions.
Villa saw their top-four dream end at Old Trafford on the final day of last season, following some controversial decision-making. Can Unai Emery’s team avenge that result, against a Red Devils team lifted by caretaker coach Michael Carrick?
