Defenders Katie Reid and Cecily Wellesley-Smith, midfielders Maddy Earl, Laila Harbert and Vivienne Lia, along with forward Jessie Gale, have all been selected for the tournament in Poland, where England will be hoping to claim the title and secure qualification for the 2026 U20 Women’s World Cup.

One notable absentee is Michelle Agyemang, who is eligible but has instead been promoted to the senior squad for next month’s European Championship in Switzerland.

All but one of the Arsenal contingent, Katie Reid, spent time out on loan or under dual-registration deals last season in order to gain valuable senior football experience. That pattern is likely to continue in 2024–25, with further development moves expected for several of the group.

England will begin their campaign against the Netherlands on Sunday 15 June (4pm BST), followed by fixtures against Portugal on Wednesday 18 June (4pm BST) and reigning champions Spain on Saturday 21 June (6pm BST).

The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals.

In addition to the European title, the tournament also acts as a qualifier for the U20 Women’s World Cup, with five of the eight teams earning places.

Host nation Poland will also stage the U20 tournament and qualify automatically. However, should Poland finish bottom of Group A, the two third-placed sides will play off for the final qualification spot.

Goalkeepers: Eve Annets (Manchester City), Katie Cox (Chelsea), Kaiya Jota* (Stanford University)

Midfielders: Lola Brown (Chelsea), Maddy Earl (Arsenal), Laila Harbert (Arsenal), Vivienne Lia (Arsenal), Erica Parkinson (Valadares Gaia), Lexi Potter (Chelsea), Lauryn Thompson (Indy Eleven)
