Tomorrow evening, Inter and Milan face off in the Supercoppa final.

The two teams have contrasting situations in the dugout.

Inter have had Simone Inzaghi as coach for more than three and a half years. He has fully shaped this Nerazzurri team in his image.

On the other hand, Sergio Conceicao has just taken over as Milan coach. He replaced Paulo Fonseca last week, with the Supercoppa semifinal against Juventus his first match in charge.

Conceicao: “Porto Deserved To Go Through Vs Inter In Champions League”

Tomorrow will not be the first time that Inzaghi and Conceicao square off as coaches.

In the round of sixteen of the 2022-23 Champions League, Inter faced Porto.

At that time, Inzaghi was still just in his second season as Inter coach. On the other hand, Conceicao was right in the midst of a long reign at the helm of Porto.

It was a hard-fought contest. But in the end, Inter progressed, by a scoreline of 1-0 on aggregate.

Conceicao admitted that he was angry after the second leg of that round of sixteen tie. “Because we deserved to go through,” the Milan coach said.

“But then in the end, in my opinion, Inter deserved to win the Champions League,” he argued.

As far as the prospective availability of Rafael Leao tomorrow, meanwhile, Conceicao said “We’ll see how training goes in the afternoon.”

“We’ll see how he is,” he said of the Portuguese international.

“He can’t be 100%,” Conceicao said of Leao. “Because he’s been out for a number of days.”

“But let’s see.”
