Midfielder Adli joined Fiorentina during the summer transfer window.

The former Bordeaux and Paris Saint-Germain midfielder joined the Tuscan side on an initial loan deal from AC Milan containing an option to make the move permanent.

Adli was one of a number of high-profile signings who arrived at Fiorentina following the appointment of former Monza coach Raffaele Palladino.

And the Frenchman has played a key role this season. Palladino has made him a regular in the starting eleven, where he can play in either a defensive or attacking midfield role.

Adli has made fourteen appearances for Fiorentina this season. He has scored three goals for the club.

The most high-profile moment for Adli at Fiorentina so far was when he scored against parent club Milan.

According to Sky, Fiorentina coach Palladino wants to make sure Adli is fresh against Inter.

La Viola take on the Nerazzurri this Sunday in Serie A. The two sides are level on points going into the match.

But first, Fiorentina host Cypriot side Pafos in the Europa Conference League.

But Adli has not gotten a call-up to the squad for that match.

Rather, the priority is to have the 24-year-old at his best to face Inter this weekend.
