Adi Hütter has returned to Eintracht Frankfurt on a three-year contract, the club announced on Sunday. The Austrian previously led the German side from 2018 to 2021.
Hütter, 56, had been out of work since October following his dismissal by Monaco, where he arrived in the summer of 2023.
He qualified the Principality club for the Champions League in each of his first two seasons. He was removed in the autumn after a sluggish start and amid disagreements with the hierarchy.
At Frankfurt, Hütter succeeds Albert Riera, who was in post only a few months. Eintracht finished eighth in the most recent league campaign.
His name had also circulated in recent weeks at Marseille as a possible successor to Habib Beye.
