The Argentine Football Association has accepted an amnesty request, annulling all pending sanctions before the start of the Torneo Apertura of the Liga Profesional de Fútbol.

The federation announced in Boletín Número 6.809 Bis II that a general amnesty covers all sanctions still to be served as of today for 2025 season competitions, with implementation referred to the tribunal.

Disciplinary bodies base decisions primarily on AFA statutes, regulations and resolutions, and the tribunal is tasked with implementing the Board's decision within its remit.

The measure chiefly benefits Estudiantes de La Plata, the current champions of Argentine football. Their players were suspended after turning their backs to Rosario Central during the guard of honour in protest at a league title the AFA created to reward the club.

Those suspensions are now void under the ruling.
