Zambia national team coach Moses Sichone has revealed his final squad of 28 players selected to compete at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, after trimming down an initial provisional list of 55 players.

During his press conference on Tuesday evening, Sichone confirmed that preparations are going smoothly, noting that the full squad will assemble before the final training camp in Spain, where Chipolopolo could play friendly matches against DR Congo and Ivory Coast.

Sichone also called on Zambian fans to back their team, emphasizing that this group is a blend of youth and experience.

He further explained that he made sure to communicate with the players who were left out to keep their spirits high, assuring them that the door remains open for the future.

The Chipolopolo have landed in a tough group alongside hosts Morocco, Mali, and Comoros.
