After Salah, Trabzonspor ‘to move for’ Al-Hilal striker Darwin Nunez | OneFootball

Trabzonspor had barely closed the Salah deal before turning to another forward, opening talks to sign Al-Hilal striker Darwin Nunez, according to A Spor.

The club are understood to have lodged an offer and are preparing meetings with the player, his representatives and Al-Hilal to assess whether a transfer is possible, though the report did not outline terms or the Saudi side’s stance.

Club president Ertugrul Dogan, buoyed by concluding the Salah talks, set an aggressive tone by claiming he can recruit any star he wants and by challenging domestic rivals in Türkiye.

Nunez, 27, made 24 appearances for Al-Hilal last season, scoring nine goals and supplying five assists.

He arrived from Liverpool last summer, but a Karim Benzema deal completed in the winter window disrupted his plans. Manager Simone Inzaghi then sidelined him, and the striker asked to leave.

Besiktas are also pursuing Nunez, including on loan, after their own attempt to land Salah stalled earlier.
