Inter Milan goalkeeper Josep Martinez has no intention of leaving the club despite his relatively sparse playing time at San Siro.

Speaking to TMW via FCInter1908, Martinez’s agent, Sergio Barila, confirmed that his client ‘feels good’ in Milan.

Josep Martinez has been Inter’s second-choice goalkeeper since joining the club from Genoa in the summer of 2024.

Despite his age and problems with inconsistent performances, Yann Sommer remains Cristian Chivu’s first option between the sticks.

Furthermore, the San Siro giants are in the market for a new shot-stopper to replace the 36-year-old at the end of the season.

Roma star Mile Svilar would be a dream signing for the Nerazzurri.

However, Beppe Marotta is exploring several other options, including Noah Atubolu, Guglielmo Vicario, and Elia Caprile.

Though Martinez’s first-team chances hang in the balance, the former Genoa ace is not looking for a new club.

Instead, he’s ready to stay and fight for chances at San Siro.

“Josep Martinez is always ready to help whenever the coach puts him in the team,” Barila stated.

“The incident that happened in October was a very unfortunate personal tragedy and very difficult for anyone to overcome.

“We ask for respect for the family.”

Despite Inter’s defeat in the Supercoppa Italiana semi-final, Martinez fared outstandingly against Bologna.

“Of course, he wanted to take his team to the final and was sad for his teammates, the club, and the fans,” the agent added.

Finally, he played down speculation linking the Spaniard with a winter exit.

“Pepo is happy at Inter; he feels good with the club and in Milan, both professionally and personally,” he concluded.

Meanwhile, Martinez is likely to make way for Sommer when Chivu’s men take on a struggling Atalanta side in Serie A this weekend.
