Stade Brestois visit Rennes on Saturday at 17:00 in Ligue 1 matchday 16. They will be without striker Ludovic Ajorque, suspended for two matches after last week’s red card against Monaco. He had led the line for 27 consecutive games and had not missed a start since the 0-0 draw at Strasbourg on 23 February.
According to L'Équipe, versatile Mama Baldé is best placed to deputise, with Pathé Mboup and Rémy Labeau-Lascary also options through the middle. Baldé can play across the front or centrally and use either foot, which aids adapting to the opposition.
Hugo Magnetti was managed in training this week but will be available in midfield for the derby.
Goalkeeper Radoslaw Majecki returns from a knee injury, yet there is no reason for Grégoire Coudert not to retain his place after three calmer displays than the Pole previously.
A slight doubt surrounds Kamory Doumbia after a training knock. Right-back Luck Zogbé, who has a foot problem, remains short and is due to resume early next week.
