Al Ahly Confirm Departure of Star Striker After Intense Transfer Buzz

Al Ahly've officially confirmed the transfer of Wessam Abou Ali to MLS side Columbus Crew ending weeks of speculation surrounding the striker’s future.

Why the sudden move?

The Palestinian international'd reportedly been pushing for exit ever since returning from the FIFA Club World cup where he shined with hat trick against Porto. His desire to leave added pressure on Al Ahly’s management to finalize deal.

Transfer terms revealed

While the Egyptian giants didn’t disclose full financial details in their statement, Reports confirm that the deal's worth 7.5 million dollar with 10% of any future resale going to Al Ahly. An additional $1 million in performance based bonuses's also part of the agreement.
