The historic rivalry between Al Ahly of Egypt and Espérance de Tunis is reignited once again in the CAF Champions League, as the quarter-final draw has pitted these two African football giants against each other in a highly anticipated clash.

The first leg will take place on March 15 at the Hammadi-Agrebi Stadium in Radès, Tunisia, with kick-off scheduled for 21:00 GMT. The return leg is set for March 21 at the Cairo International Stadium, kicking off at 19:00 GMT.

The winner of this two-legged showdown will progress to the semi-finals, where they will face off against the victor of the Mamelodi Sundowns vs Stade Malien tie.

Historically, the advantage leans towards the "Red Devils," Al Ahly, in head-to-head encounters between the two clubs. The Egyptian side boasts 13 wins, compared to 4 victories for Espérance, nicknamed "the Dean of Tunisian clubs," while 7 matches have ended in a draw.

He will be assisted by his compatriots Djibril Camara and Nouha Bangoura, while Abdallah Diouf will serve as the fourth official.
