Al-Hilal ‘to table’ opening offer for Luis Diaz as Bayern resist | OneFootball

Bayern Munich could have a fight on their hands to keep Luis Diaz, with L'Equipe reporting Al-Hilal have made the winger their top target and are working on an opening bid.

The report says Diaz is not against a move and that an initial offer worth at least €70 million is being prepared. It also notes Bayern have indicated they do not intend to sell with three years left on his 2029 contract.

Richard Hughes is said to be fronting the pursuit. He remains Liverpool's sporting director, and is reportedly set to join Al-Hilal after the window closes at the beginning of September.

Bayern signed Diaz from Liverpool for €70 million in 2025. He swiftly became a favourite of Vincent Kompany and the hierarchy, delivering 26 goals and 23 assists in 51 games last season.

An exit at this stage appears doubtful, given Champions League football and Bayern's stance. Letting him go would weaken a double-winning side and force Bayern to find a costly replacement.
