Alexander Bah nearing Benfica return with mid March target | OneFootball

According to Glorioso 1904, Alexander Bah is closing in on a Benfica return, with the most optimistic timeline pointing to mid March. The right-back has been sidelined since February 2025.

His comeback is keenly awaited by the coaching staff and supporters.

He has completed the final phase of his rehabilitation and has rejoined José Mourinho’s squad. Mourinho confirmed his presence on Thursday 12 February, when he was seen alongside team-mates, as was Richard Ríos.

Given the rupture of the ligaments in his left knee, he is expected to wait longer than the Colombian before returning to contention. He will be called up once Mourinho judges the conditions are right.

In 2024/25 Bah, valued at nine million euros, played 29 competitive matches for Benfica, 18 in Liga Portugal Betclic, seven in the Champions League, two in the Taça de Portugal and two in the Taça da Liga. He logged 2,175 minutes, scoring two goals and providing three assists.
