Argentine publication OLE claimed that Los Blancos would be locked in a transfer battle with rivals and city neighbours Atletico Madrid for the Liverpool playmaker.
Mac Allister, 27, arrived on Merseyside from Brighton in 2023 - going on to win the EFL Cup and Premier League title. But the 2025/26 campaign was not a successful one for Macca on an individual level.
He appeared far beneath his best form at times - leading to speculation that Richard Hughes would seek to cut ties. Mac Allister is under contract until 2028 - and unless he is sold soon the Liverpool face the prospect of his value dwindling.
Erem News in Egypt is now carrying exclusive quotes from Mac Allister’s father, Carlos, about Real Madrid’s supposed transfer interest.
"What has been circulating about Alexis is untrue, and no official from Real Madrid has spoken to us at the moment,” he said.
Earlier this season the former Argentina international claimed that no talks had been opened with his son for a new contract either. Mac Allister senior reiterated that stance in the Erem interview.
"There is no new information regarding Alexis' current situation with Liverpool,” he said.
