Alexis Saelemaekers was forced to come off due to an injury in the second half of Roma’s draw with Genoa.
The Belgian winger was seen limping off the pitch at the 48th minute of playing time and was immediately replaced by Mario Hermoso.
As reported by Sky Sport, it appears that Saelemaekers has suffered a sprained ankle. The extent of the injury is yet to be determined and it’s undetermined how many, if any, games the Belgian could miss.
It potentially poses a big problem for manager Daniele De Rossi, who switched to a three-man defence versus Genoa to benefit the likes of Saelemaekers and Stephan El Shaarawy.
