Algeria will face Nigeria on Saturday, January 10, in the quarter-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON 2025).

The "Fennecs" punched their ticket by edging out DR Congo (1-0 after extra time), while the Super Eagles cruised to a convincing victory over Mozambique (4-0).

The "Greens" are aiming for a third continental crown, following their triumphs in 1990 and 2019.

In the past, the North African side has played in six quarter-finals, with two qualifications and four eliminations.
