Algeria: Riyad Mahrez set to extend contract with Al-Ahli

Riyad Mahrez looks set to continue his journey in Saudi Arabia for a little while longer. According to local media, the Algerian international has reached an agreement with Al-Ahli Jeddah to extend his contract by an additional year, keeping him at the club until 2028. Since arriving from Manchester City in 2023, the 34-year-old winger has quickly established himself as one of the club's technical and emotional leaders.

With 17 goals and 18 assists last season, Mahrez played a pivotal role in Al-Ahli's continental triumph, before lifting the Saudi Super Cup this year after a thrilling final against Al-Nassr.
