On a frustrating night for VfB Stuttgart, the German champions from Bavaria won 3-0 thanks to a Harry Kane hattrick.

Here are our player ratings from the game:

Bayern Munich starting XI player ratings vs. VfB Stuttgart:

GK: Jonas Urbig - 8/10

Made a great save in the first half to deny Mittelstädt. Didn't have much to do in the second half. Fantastic back-up to Manuel Neuer once again.

RB: Konrad Laimer - 6/10

Tried to bring his usual aggression, but struggled overall and lost a few duels, especially in the first half. Solid second half, but not as dangerous as he was in other games during the season.

CB: Dayot Upamecano - 6/10

Few to no mistakes, brave in opening the play. Solid performance.

CB: Jonathan Tah - 6/10

Wasn’t tested much defensively, but made a few bad passes in the first half. Improved second half and a reliable player when Stuttgart started counter attacks.

LB: Josip Stanišić - 7/10

Hard-working, determined, focused - a good performance from the Croat. Most dangerous shot in the first half belonged to him as well.

CDM: Joshua Kimmich - 7/10

Quarterback of the Bavarian team, a lot of the times the last man. Dictated play well, maybe a bit more defensive than usually. A better second half than first, where he and Pavlović misplaced some passes.

CDM: Aleksandar Pavlović - 7/10

Providing many key passes, emotional in discussions - a good game from Pavlović, without standing out too much.

RW: Michael Olise - 8/10

Caused a lot of problems in the second half, almost invisible in the first half. Great assist for the first goal (cross with his weak foot). Got the penalty near the end for Kane's third. Only his trademark goal/shot was missing.

CAM: Jamal Musiala - 7/10

Still not quite at his best - a phrase you don't want to hear as a Bayern and Germany fan. However, probably one of the best players in the first half, very silky on the ball and often fouled.

LW: Luis Díaz - 6/10

Good eye for Kane in the box, but struggled to beat his man on the night (whether that was Leweling or Jaquez/Jeltsch). Not his best game in a Bayern shirt, but far from a bad performance, too.

ST: Harry Kane - 9/10

Linked play extremely well, but struggled to get shots away in the first half (as did everybody). Strong second half with three goals, there when needed most - in attack and defense. And back to being unstoppable from the penalty spot. First “lupenreiner” hattrick in a DFB-Pokal final (all three goals in one half).

VfB Stuttgart starting XI player ratings vs. Bayern Munich:

GK: Alexander Nübel - 5/10

Powerless to prevent Bayern's goals, didn't stand out in starting Stuttgart's counters. An okay performance in his last game for Stuttgart.

CB: Luca Jaquez - 6/10

Stopped Díaz quite well in the first half, but lost control of his side in the second half. Subbed out for Jeltsch.

CB: Jeff Chabot - 3/10

Kind of looked like a warrior - but maybe unnecessarily. Struggled with minor injuries throughout the match, maybe an early sub would have been better, but he wanted to lead the line, which is understandable. Misjudged some high balls, which led to attacks.

CB: Ramon Hendriks - 4/10

A few mistakes in his game - good in 1v1 duels, but couldn't stop Bayern when they were on the counter, often left the defensive line too early/late.

RM: Jamie Leweling - 5/10

Good defenively, not so present in attack. Normally good in getting shots off, but not tonight. Maybe should've been used more offensively to create more attacks.

CDM: Angelo Stiller - 4/10

Worked really hard, ran a lot - but unlucky in the final minutes with the handball. Still, a good performance looking towards the World Cup.

CDM: Chema Andrés - 3/10

Looked a bit lost in the second half, wasn't present in attack or defense. Okay first half, but not his best performance over all.

Looked like a player on fire in the first half, really keen in duels - and maybe keen to show Nagelsmann that he would've deserved a spot in the final World Cup squad. Good shot in the first half, rather quiet in the second half.

CAM: Deniz Undav - 3/10

Lost a lot of balls during dangerous attakcks, really not a good game from the fan favourite. Couldn't get a dangerous shot off, too. Shook his own head after a few scenes. He did try his best, but it wasn't enough tonight.

CAM: Chris Führich - 5/10

Started brightly and, similar to Mittelstädt, probably wanted to show Nagelsmann that he should've been on the World Cup plane. Many dribblings, good ideas, but nothing too dangerous in the end.

ST: Ermedin Demirović - 3/10

Not a Demirović-kind-of-game. Looked totally lost throughout the whole match. Couldn't take part in the dangerous counter attacks. Unlucky.

Substitutes:

Finn Jeltsch ('64) - 4/10

Bilal El Khannouss ('78) - N/A

Nikolas Nartey ('84) - N/A

Tiago Tomás ('84) - N/A
