Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri expects further ‘progress’ from his players after a win over Liverpool this past weekend: ‘The match against Perth Glory will be great.’
Milan visit Perth Glory on July 31 in their final Asia-Pacific Tour friendly game.
The Rossoneri lost 1-0 against Arsenal last week but also beat Liverpool 4-2 on Saturday, and Allegri expects to see more developments in Australia.

“I’m proud to be here, Perth is a beautiful city that I had never visited before,” the Italian tactician said at a press conference via Gazzetta.
“I’m looking forward to exploring it, discovering a new culture and feeling the support of our fans here in Western Australia.
“This will be the match that ends our tour and this pre-season preparation period. We’ll play in a beautiful stadium against a team that has achieved good results. I expect progress in both physical and technical aspects.
“The match against Perth Glory will be great, and I’m happy to be here. I thank the Government of Western Australia for the opportunity.”
Allegri had been sacked by Milan in January 2011 and returned to the club this past May, signing a two-year deal with an option for a further campaign.

The Livorno-born tactician reiterated that Milan’s priority target will be to finish in the top four in the 2025-26 season.
“I’ve returned to Milan after 15 years and I’m happy to be here,” he said.
“This will be an important season, and we aim to return to the Champions League. Milan are one of the most important clubs in the world and must play in the Champions League. When you wear this jersey, you feel the responsibility of representing one of the most storied clubs, and you must always give your best.”
Allegri had been without a club since May 2024 when Juventus sacked him.
“Resting is good, but I was eager to get back to coaching,” he concluded.
“I chose Milan because I love this club and couldn’t say no. I do this job with passion and dedication, and I’m convinced that, together, we will achieve the goals we’ve set for ourselves.”
Milan’s first Serie A game of the 2025-26 season is against regional rivals Cremonese on August 23, but the opening competitive game of the season will be against Bari in the Coppa Italia on August 17.
