Altunbas strikes in stoppage time as Eyüpspor climb out of bottom three | OneFootball

Eyüpspor beat Gençlerbirliği 1-0 at the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Stadyumu, rising from 16th to 14th in the Süper Lig thanks to a late winner.

In the first minute of second half stoppage time, Metehan Altunbas latched on to Denis Radu's through ball and finished low into the bottom left.

Ricardo Velho kept the visitors in contention with a string of saves, notably from Taskin İlter and Lenny Pintor. At the other end, Jankat Yilmaz made key stops to deny Adama Traoré and M'Baye Niang.

Late changes proved decisive for the hosts, with substitutes Radu and Altunbas combining for the clincher. Earlier, Gençlerbirliği lost Dimitris Goutas to injury and introduced Ladislav Takacs before the interval.

Eyüpspor enjoyed 57.8% possession and registered seven shots on target from 10 attempts. Gençlerbirliği produced 13 efforts, testing the goalkeeper four times.
