Ana María Guzmán has left FC Bayern Women and signed a permanent contract with Brazilian top-flight club Palmeiras São Paulo, where the 21-year-old spent last season on loan.

Guzmán moved to Munich in summer 2023 from Colombian side Deportivo Pereira. In November of that year, she sustained a knee injury on international duty for Colombia which ruled her out for a lengthy period. Following her comeback in September 2024, the defender played eight games for FCB Women’s first and second teams. At the start of 2025, she was loaned to NWSL side Utah Royals FC in the United States, where she made five appearances. The loan, which was due to run til the end of the year, was cut short to enable the switch to Palmeiras, which has now been made permanent.

De Sá Fardhila: ‘Wish Ana all the best’

Francisco De Sá Fardilha, FC Bayern Women sporting director: “Ana’s time at FC Bayern was unfortunately quite short and overshadowed by a serious injury while playing for the Colombian national team, which made it harder for her to settle here in Munich. Nevertheless, she demonstrated great character during her loan spells and is now showing her qualities again in one of the best teams in South America. We sincerely wish her all the best for her future.”
