According to Meu Timao, Corinthians have confirmed the signing of midfielder Ana Vitória from Atlético de Madrid for the 2026 season. The 25-year-old becomes the club’s fifth arrival of the year on a contract running to 2028.
She arrived in São Paulo earlier in the week for a medical, with the announcement held back while paperwork was finalised. Her Atlético deal runs to 2026, and she was cleared to return without a fee.
This is her second spell with the Brabas. Between 2017 and 2018 she played 57 matches, starting 33, scoring eight goals and winning the 2017 Libertadores Feminina and the 2018 Brasileiro.
In Europe she featured for Benfica, Paris Saint-Germain and Atlético. With Benfica she won 10 trophies, shining in 2022/23 with 20 goals and 16 assists. At Atlético in 2023/24 she made 16 appearances, registering three assists and one goal, though she has mainly been used from the bench this season.
She has been a regular at international level, featuring at the 2023 World Cup and winning Olympic silver at Paris 2024. Her last appearance came in May 2025 in a 3-2 defeat to France. She later withdrew from the 2025 Copa América with a hamstring injury.
Ana Vitória gives Lucas Piccinato a versatile midfield option, comfortable as a second volante or further forward. Corinthians lacked depth in the role last season. She offers movement between the lines, short combinations, box-to-box threat and defensive intensity.
