Anderlecht appear to be in the market for another striker. With Kasper Dolberg leaving to Ajax and Adriano Bertaccini injured, the side do need to strengthen up front. HLN have seen reports from Turkish media that suggest the side are looking to sign Danylo Sikan. The 24-year-old Ukrainian forward is currently part of the Trabzonspor squad, having joined them for a significant fee last January.
With the Turkish side having spent around €6m to bring Sikan to Trabzon from Shakhtar Donetsk, the club will likely want to see some return on that fee for letting him go. However, Sikan has struggled during his time in Turkish football. Last year he played 18 games, scoring three times and grabbing two assists. So far this season he has made four appearances but only played 61 minutes. Sikan has not scored yet this season. Sikan’s breakout season came during the 2023/2024 campaign with Shakhtar Donetsk, where he scored 16 goals in 42 games.
Sikan is also a full Ukrainian international but has not won a cap for a few years now. A move to Anderlecht could help him, like Dolberg, to reinvigorate his career.
