Andre has signed a new four-year Wolves contract despite the club’s relegation. The 24-year-old Brazilian midfielder has committed his future to Molineux.

Chairman Nathan Shi said talks with the player and his representatives had been ongoing for months and that Andre’s desire to stay never wavered. He added that the midfielder believes in the project, shares the aim of swift promotion back to the Premier League and that his commitment is a statement of intent.

Andre joined from Fluminense for £18.5m in 2024 and has made 74 appearances in all competitions. He has been capped eight times by Brazil while at Wolves and scored a memorable winner against Liverpool in March.

Relegation was confirmed last month and a spate of high-profile departures was anticipated this summer. Joao Gomes looks certain to leave, and many supporters expected Andre to depart too.

The fresh deal runs to 2030 and includes an option of a further year, keeping a key midfielder in place as Wolves plan their next steps.
