Ángel Di María extends Rosario Central contract ahead of Corinthians in Copa Libertadores

Rosario Central have extended the contract of Ángel Di María, 38. The club announced the agreement as they prepare to face Corinthians in the Copa Libertadores round of 16.

His previous deal expired at the end of June and both parties negotiated a renewal. The agreement was only finalised nearly a month later.

Di María has been influential this season, with 21 appearances in 2025/26, seven goals and four assists, underlining his importance for the Canalla.

Corinthians are also working on a new deal for Memphis Depay. His contract runs to 31 July, but he is already unable to play due to registration errors with the FPF.

The ties are scheduled for 13 and 20 August, both Thursdays, at 21:30. The first leg will be at Neo Química Arena, with the return at Estadio Gigante de Arroyito.
