Sevilla are accelerating recruitment under Antonio Cordón, with multiple moves advancing. Juan Iglesias of Getafe will arrive on a free if survival is confirmed.
The club has announced a preliminary agreement for Independiente del Valle winger Patrick Mercado, with the fee around six million euros, according to Diario AS.
Pisa midfielder Marius Marin remains on the list, a Romania international available as his deal runs down.
Focus has also returned to Grischa Prömel of TSG Hoffenheim. The 31-year-old holding midfielder is out of contract on 30 June and there is uncertainty over a new deal. A switch would be his first experience outside Germany.
Prömel came through Hoffenheim, then Karlsruher, joined Union Berlin in 2017 and played more than 140 games, helping their rise and consolidation. He rejoined Hoffenheim as a free agent in July 2022 and has featured regularly.
This season he has six goals and two assists, and he has four Germany caps. Described as a dynamic box-to-box option, he offers pressing intensity, short passing and leadership, though aerial duels and tackling are not standout strengths.
For Sevilla, these profiles point to measured summer adjustments in midfield and beyond.
