António Silva’s Benfica future remains undecided and hinges on a pre-season conversation with Marco Silva, according to Glorioso 1904.

The centre-back wants clarity on his role under the new coaching staff before deciding his next career step. He has a renewal offer from the club, a situation Rui Costa has confirmed, but he intends to wait for training to start and those talks to understand his place in next season’s plan.

If he concludes he will not be a regular starter, he could prioritise a transfer and seek a new challenge. On the other hand, Marco Silva demonstrating confidence in him and regarding him as important to the team would represent the alternative scenario.
