Arab Cup: An Algeria–Morocco showdown is taking shape!

A sizzling clash could soon ignite the 2025 Arab Cup: Algeria vs Morocco in the semi-finals, much earlier than fans might have expected. As the group stage wrapped up, both nations confirmed their status, topping their respective groups with identical records—two wins and a draw—showcasing their rising momentum. Algeria wrapped up Group D in style with a controlled 2-0 victory over Iraq, while Morocco, solid and consistent, did the same at the top of Group B.
The knockout stage draw has set the two historic rivals on a collision course. The Fennecs will face the United Arab Emirates in the quarter-finals, while the Atlas Lions take on Syria. If both teams manage to sidestep the traps set by these determined opponents, the semi-final would deliver the showdown everyone has been waiting for since the tournament began: an epic Algeria–Morocco clash, a symbol of legendary sporting rivalry and a level of play that promises to be exceptional.
Elsewhere in the bracket, surprise package Palestine, winners of Group A, will meet Saudi Arabia, while Jordan, impressive in Group C, will take on Iraq. The semi-finals are scheduled for December 15, ahead of the grand final on December 18. But until then, all eyes are now fixed on the scenario already firing up the fans: an explosive semi-final between the two Maghreb giants.
