Real Sociedad scored an early goal in the first few minutes of the match, but Barça’s savvy offside trap worked to perfection yet again, making that the only time La Real were close to Wojciech Szczęsny’s goal.

After that, with goals by Marc Casadó, Gerard Martín, Ronald Araujo, and Robert Lewandowski, Barcelona were able to finish off the job ahead of their crucial Champions League match against Benfica midweek.

Barça Universal brings you the player ratings from Barcelona 4-0 Real Sociedad:

Wojciech Szczesny: 7/10

The Barcelona goalkeeper was not challenged in the entire match, and had a comfortable time in possession.

Gerard Martín: 8/10

The substitute left back had an amazing performance against La Real, probably his best for the Barça first team so far.

He managed to score his first goal for the club after a marvelous assist by Dani Olmo, and will hope to continue counting as a solid alternative to Alejandro Balde for Hansi Flick.

Pau Cubarsí: 7/10

Another solid performance by the young centre back, who did not put a foot wrong in the match. Barcelona’s defence did not have much to do.

Ronald Araujo: 8.5/10

Like Cubarsí, Araujo was not challenged defensively, but was able to score the third goal with a close-range header.

His shot in the second half also resulted in a goal for Robert Lewandowski.

Jules Kounde: 7/10

The Frenchman continues to prove a valuable asset for Hansi Flick in attack and defence; solid performance.

Marc Casadó: 8/10

Despite losing protagonism lately, Casadó continues to be a spectacular asset for Barcelona’s midfield.

He also managed to score his first goal for the first team, marking it a special night for the player.

Pedri: 8/10

As usual, Pedri has produced another masterclass for Barcelona. Silky smooth in possession and solid in distribution.

Dani Olmo: 9/10

A fit Dani Olmo is one of the most important players that Barcelona can have in that #10 role.

Against La Real, he dominated tight spaces, created multiple plays, led counter attacks, and managed to assist two goals.

Raphinha: 7/10

A performance that went under the radar, but Raphinha’s contributions off the ball were crucial for Barcelona’s pressing game. His corner also resulted in Araujo’s goal.

Lamine Yamal: 7.5/10

Electric first half by the youngster, dribbling past Real Sociedad defenders with ease.

His fantastic dribble by the sideline started the play for Gerard Martín’s first goal for the club.

Lewandowski: 7/10

Despite finding a lucky goal out of nowhere, it was a quiet performance by Lewandowski.

He looked too slow inside the box, and could have scored more goals with the chances his teammates created.

Eric García: 6/10

Came on in the second half replacing Pau Cubarsí as a centre back, but did not have any protagonism.

Frenkie de Jong: 6/10

Replaced Pedri in the second half, but could not contribute in attack.

Ferran Torres: 6/10

Was active running in behind for the last minutes of the match, but could not find himself any clear chances to score.

Fermín: 6/10

Made some late runs into the box, but could not contribute effectively either.
