Manchester City may consider a loan for Jack Grealish after failing to receive any formal offers for the Englishman who then cost a British record £100m in August 2021. That’s according to The Guardian and BBC Sport, who suggest that the 29-year-old’s days at the club are numbered after failing to break into Pep Guardiola’s side last season, where he played just 715 minutes across 20 Premier League appearances, scoring one goal and providing one assist.
Grealish has two years remaining on his current deal but, according to BBC Sport, his £300,000 wages could put any potential suitors off. As Get Football analysed, Aston Villa, Everton and Tottenham Hotspur are clubs that could get the best out of Grealish, who so desperately needs a move if he is to be in Thomas Tuchel’s plans for the 2026 World Cup.
The fact that Grealish was also left out of Manchester City’s squad for the FIFA Club World Cup also suggests that the Englishman has no future at the club.
