Liverpool have one of the most valuable squads in the world right now.
The club's sporting director Richard Hughes has spent a lot of money over the summer. For the first time in the club's history Hughes exceeded spending over £100m on a single player.

And he didn't just do it once, he did it twice. First for Florian Wirtz and then for Alexander Isak, who was signed for a British transfer record.
Of course, this was only possible because Liverpool were able to make a lot of income through sales. Hughes didn't just spend, spend and spend. He also sold players for a significant amount of money which balanced out the books for Liverpool.
It has put the Reds in a very strong position. But it's not just this summer that has made this team the team that it is.
A lot of credit has to be given to Hughes' predecessors, who have all contributed in building a dynasty that will allow Liverpool to be able to continue to spend significant amounts of money for years to come.
There are already talks of Liverpool spending big money again on the likes of Carlos Baleba or Morgan Rogers. Adam Wharton is another player who Crystal Palace will want a lot of money for.
Michael Olise potentially could also be lined up to replace Mohamed Salah.
But it's also important to take stock of what Liverpool already have. There's so much talent in this Liverpool squad already, which in turn makes it difficult for the Reds to bring in players who can actually improve Arne Slot's options.
Speaking in his press conference ahead of Liverpool's game against Atletico Madrid, Slot was asked about the club's spending.
In that conversation, it was interesting to hear the Liverpool head-coach confirm that he believes the Reds do not have just Wirtz and Isak who are valued at £100m but another name.
"If we sold Dominik Szoboszlai tomorrow he would be worth £100m as well," Slot said, as per James Pearce.
It's an interesting revelation from the Dutchman. Szoboszlai was signed for just £60m two years ago, and now he's almost doubled his worth.

Obviously, in that time transfer fees have skyrocketed and inflation has risen as well. But on paper there is no denying Szoboszlai has become a better player at Liverpool.
He's more mature now and has proven himself in a number of different roles. Last season, he was key in the no.10 position and this season Slot has been playing him as a right-back and again Szoboszlai has been one of the best players for the Reds so far.
That's probably why Slot mentioned him as the other player he believes is worth £100m. At this moment in time the Hungarian is probably one of the first names on the teamsheet. The only thing Slot has to figure out is where exactly he will play, not whether he plays.
It's important to remember that Szoboszlai hasn't even reached his prime yet. He's only 24-years-old. The first time Steven Gerrard scored double figures in the Premier League and more than 20 in all competitions was when he was 25-years-old turning 26 years old.
So, the best is yet to come.
