Liverpool boss Arne Slot admits his side could have been behind by three goals in the first half of their defeat to Crystal Palace.
The Reds suffered their first Premier League loss of the campaign after Eddie Nketiah’s late winner.
Federico Chiesa had levelled in the 87th minute following Ismaila Sarr’s early opener, but Slot admits his side were lucky not to be behind by more heading into the second half.
“They deserved to be up two or three goals in the first half,” he said.
“They created three or four very good chances and we were lucky Alisson helped us.
“I think the second half was a much better performance from us. We created chances, which not many teams do here or when Palace play away. It’s very hard to create chances and we created quite a lot.
“It took a while for us to score a goal and when we did, to concede another set-piece goal is disappointing, as the first half was.”
