PSG are in the Champions League final for the second time in their history.

The Parisians knocked out the likes of Liverpool, Aston Villa, and Arsenal to book their place in the biggest match in European club football.

PSG will face Inter Milan in Munich at the end of this month.

And it is a huge opportunity for the French champions to finally turn their domestic dominance into silverware on the continent.

Arsenal were another team who have never won the Champions League hoping to make this the season that they finally go all the way in Europe’s biggest club competition.

However, the London giants were unable to get the better of Paris Saint-Germain in the semifinals.

This was certainly a great frustration to the Gunners’ coach Mikel Arteta.

However, if there is a silver lining to the outcome of the semifinal tie for Arteta, it is that he does have a particular fondness for PSG.

That is because the Spaniard played for the French club as a young player. He was on loan at the Parc des Princes in the 2001-02 season.

“I hope with all my heart that PSG can finally do it,” said Arteta after yesterday’s match.

“Considering my past here.”

“It’s not yet the time to say Forza PSG,” the Arsenal coach added. “But I’ll be behind them when the final comes.
