Arsenal denied late penalty in draw with Atletico Madrid

Arsenal will take a 1-1 draw back to the Emirates Stadium for the second leg of their Champions League semi-final tie with Atletico Madrid.
A penalty kick from either side ensured the tie remains level after the first leg at the Metropolitano in Madrid.
Viktor Gyokeres put the Gunners in front on the verge of half-time having won the spot kick after a challenge from David Hancko.

But a handball from Ben White allowed Julian Alvarez to put the home side level in the second half.
Arsenal thought they had won the third, and their second, penalty of the game when the referee again pointed to the spot after Ebere Eze went down under another Hancko challenge.
But after going over to the pitch-side monitor, Danny Makkelie overturned his original call to leave the visitors feeling aggrieved.
