In a recent report, Bild claimed that Arsenal are facing stiff competition for Eintracht Frankfurt full-back Nathaniel Brown. It has been stated that the Gunners would have to compete with Manchester City and Real Madrid in the race to land the German defender next year.

Brown’s Impressive Form In German Football

Brown has enjoyed a decent run of form at the German club this season as he has put in a few impressive displays on the left side of their backline. The 22-year-old has scored one goal and earned a couple of assists in eight appearances for Eintracht Frankfurt so far in this campaign across various competitions.

The German talent has performed his defensive duties well after he made 13 tackles, five blocks, three interceptions and five clearances in the Bundesliga. He has even been careful when distributing possession from the left flank after completing 80.7% of his attempted passes in the German first division (stats via fbref.com).

His current contract at the Frankfurt-based club will run out in the summer of 2030. Therefore, the Gunners would have to make a big offer if they want to lure Brown to Stamford Bridge next year.

Will Brown Be A Good Fit For Arsenal?

Brown is a solid tackler of the ball and can scan the danger well to earn possession back for his team inside his half. He usually puts his foot through the ball when required and can create some decent chances for his teammates from the left flank.

The German sensation is primarily a left-back but can also function as a left-sided wide player if told to do so. However, it remains to be seen whether he can replicate his good form in the Premier League if the Gunners manage to acquire his services next year.

We can expect Brown to add more quality and depth to Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta’s defence. He is good enough to increase competition for places within the North London club’s squad.

At 22, Brown has got the potential to be a world-class player in his position someday. Thus, he would be a decent fit for the Gunners to consider in the long run. However, Arteta has to give him some time to settle into life in England.
