Arsenal have joined Paris Saint-Germain and Tottenham Hotspur in the race to sign Ferran Torres.
Estadio Deportivo claims that the Gunners have enquired about the Barcelona striker.
Torres was the hero for Spain at the World Cup, netting the decisive goal in extra-time against Argentina in the final.
His impressive displays at the summer tournament attracted attention from PSG and Tottenham.
Barcelona are keen to extend Torres’ contract, which is due to expire next year in June.
However, negotiations have yet to produce an agreement, increasing pressure on Barcelona to cash in rather than risk losing him for nothing next summer.
Torres’ situation has alerted Arsenal, who are looking to reinforce their attacking options.
They are attracted by the Spaniard’s ability to play on either wing or through the middle.
Torres began his career at Valencia, where he made 97 appearances before a £21 million move to Manchester City in 2020.
The 26-year-old has built his reputation as a reliable goalscorer since joining Barcelona for £55m in December 2021.
Torres has made 207 appearances across all competitions for the Catalan club, bagging 65 goals and 23 assists.
However, it appears he wants a new challenge and could be tempted to join Arsenal, who won the Premier League title and reached the Champions League final last season.
