WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Gunners this afternoon.
Little has enjoyed two successful spells with Arsenal. She first represented the club between 2008 and 2013 after arriving in North London from Hibernian. The midfielder later played for Seattle Reign and Melbourne City before returning to Arsenal in summer 2017.
In her time as an Arsenal player, Little has gone on to make 405 appearances for the club in which she has scored 177 goals. The Scot has won five league titles with The Gunners along with seven league cups and three FA Cups. Little has also won a UEFA Women’s Champions League title and the inaugural FIFA Women’s Champions Cup which was staged earlier this year.
It is fair to say that no other player has made such an impact in Arsenal’s growth over the last two decades than Little. The 35-year-old midfielder shows no sign of hanging up her boots and Arsenal fans will have the joy of cheering her on again for another year.
Arsenal are next in action on Saturday evening when they contest a North London derby with Tottenham Hotspur at the Emirates Stadium.
