Arsenal open talks over €75m summer transfer deal | OneFootball

Arsenal have held talks with the representatives of AC Milan winger Rafael Leao to discuss a potential summer move to the Emirates.

The North London side are assessing the market for a left-winger and have Leao high on their summer shortlist.

Leao is one of several options under consideration, alongside Newcastle’s Anthony Gordon and Leipzig teenager Yan Diomande, and initial talks have started with the player’s camp.

According to Football Transfers, Milan are open to the sale of the 26-year-old for the right fee but would demand a package in excess of €75m for Leao.

The Portugal international has scored 79 goals in 280 games for the Italian side since signing from Lille in 2019.

That includes eight goals and two assists in just 14 league starts this season. In 2021-22, Leao was named Serie A Footballer of the Year after helping Milan to the Scudetto.

Manchester United are also understood to be ‘monitoring the situation’ ahead of a potential summer approach.
