Arsenal stars impress Arteta with shape and mentality

Mikel Arteta has been left impressed by the way his players have returned for pre-season after winning the title last term, with some of them also representing their countries at the World Cup.

After a successful season in which Arsenal won the league crown and reached the final of the Champions League, the club’s stars could easily have returned feeling relaxed ahead of the campaign. Instead, they arrived focused and prepared for another challenge.

Arteta praises Arsenal’s changing culture

The players reported for pre-season in excellent condition, with most of them arriving at camp in top shape. This has impressed Arteta, who believes the mentality within the squad shows how much the culture at the club has developed.

The manager is pleased that his players have fully embraced the standards and expectations at Arsenal. They have responded well to his tactics, seen the results of their hard work, and remain committed to improving as they look to achieve more success.

The attitude of the squad has also been a major positive for Arteta, as he believes the players understand the importance of continuing to grow. Their dedication and desire to improve have provided strong signs ahead of the new season.

Arsenal players show desire ahead of new campaign

As Arteta welcomed his players back to full training this summer, he told Arsenal Media:

“First of all (I saw) the energy in the bodies, in their eyes, how they look. And then the players, it was incredible – the shape that they have all come back, better than ever. That tells you the direction that we want to seek and the culture that we have set. Then the way they are training, the questions that they ask you, the direction that they want to take. They are all super powerful signs.

“It’s great to see everybody again with the same spirit after such a big season. To see everybody coming back in the building with such energy and desire to go again is really touching.”

The manager will now hope that this attitude continues throughout the season. Arsenal’s players have shown they are ready for another demanding campaign, and Arteta believes their commitment can help the team maintain its progress.
