Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Matheus Cunha has a new release clause of around £62 million, according to the Daily Mail.

Arsenal were linked with Cunha during the January transfer window, but he ended any uncertainty regarding his immediate future by signing a new four-and-a-half-year contract last weekend.

However, suitors can activate the buy-out clause when it becomes valid during the next summer transfer window.

Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest are also monitoring his situation.

The 27-year-old has bagged 27 goals and 13 assists in 80 games for Wolves since joining them from Atletico Madrid.

He could be a decent signing for Arsenal if manager Mikel Arteta decides he fits into his system.

Arsenal also want Newcastle United hitman Alexander Isak, but it could take more than £120m to sign him.

Cunha is available for around half of that and could be a bargain, given his huge talents.

The Brazilian is an excellent dribbler who is a constant threat in counter-attacking situations due to his pace.

He is capable of delivering quality crosses into the box whenever he is on the wings.

Cunha is also an excellent finisher who retains possession well, and signing him could make plenty of sense for Arsenal.
