Vinicius’ contract with the La Liga giants will expire next year and the two parties have yet to reach an agreement over a new deal.

The Gunners have signed Christos Tzolis, but further attacking reinforcements are needed.

With Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli expected to leave, Mikel Arteta’s side are looking to add an elite forward before the end of the transfer window

Madrid previously proposed an offer worth around €20 million net per season, which was turned down by Vinicius’ camp.

The Brazilian wants a package close to €30m, comprising a base salary, performance-related bonuses and a separate renewal bonus.

It is said the renewal bonus has been the main sticking point between the two parties.

Vinicius is widely regarded as one of the best forwards in the world, known for his pace, trickery and goal threat.

He was impressive for Brazil during the World Cup, scoring four goals in five matches.

Vinicius has been a reliable goalscorer for Madrid since joining the club in 2018. He has bagged 128 goals and 100 assists in 375 appearances across all competitions.
